Is God Judging America?

I think God is definitely judging America for its flagrant and willful disobedience to Him in recent years. Hurricane Katrina, hurricane Sandy, 911, and many other tragedies. Wild fires, tornadoes, earth quakes, floods, and other natural disasters have increased since the year 2000 compared to the 90's, and dramatically increased since 80's, 70's, and earlier.

For instance, in the 80's we had the San Francisco earth quake, hurricane Hugo in the Caribbean, a heat wave in central and southern states, and of course a volcano eruption of Mt St. Helens in 1980. Only 4 major natural disasters in that 10 year period according to Wikipedia. In the last 8 years, from 2004 to 2012, we have had hurricanes Charley, Francis, Ivan, Katrina, Rita, and now Sandy. We have had tornadoes Evansville, 2008 super Tuesday tornado, April Tornadoes of 2011, and Tornado Joplin. Mississippi floods in 2011, Arkansas flood in 2010, Tsunami in America Samoa in 2009, and the 2007 wild fire in California. I'm not listing any events that were less than catastrophic in lives lost and damage caused. There are many smaller events that have taken place, and those have also increased in the last 10 years.

So for the last 8 years, we have had a total of 14 compared to only 4 in a 10 year period in the 80's. The Spirit of God is being withdrawn. Disasters by sea and by land follow one another in quick succession. How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! This is why I truly believe God is judging America. Thoughts and prayers are with the people suffering loss in these tragedies.
